My interest in health and wellbeing began about 18 years ago.  Having been widowed several years earlier, I was re-emerging from a period of delayed grief and a friend lent me the book 'Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway' by Susan Jeffers.  I was hooked.  I realised my work in office management was never going to fulfill me and I took the opportunity to retrain as a Level 4 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist at NLSSM in 2009 and was fortunate to work out of the highly respected Southcote Proactive Healthcare Clinic in Maidstone, Kent, for well over 13 years.  During this time I also worked supporting Carers through facilitating the Caring with Confidence national programme and having seen the power of group facilitation I trained as a Life Coach with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Hypnotherapy with Animas Institute in London.

I discovered ScarWork whilst trying to resolve my own digestive issues and undertook the specialist  training in 2018 with Emma Holly of Restore Scar Therapy.  Falling in love with its gentle transformational approach I decided to specialise in ScarWork and undertook additional training in both breast cancer related ScarWork and musculoskeletal surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, and skeletal repairs.

Enjoying the light touch gentle approach to facilitating healing I undertook further specialist training in 2022 in TMJ Therapy and refreshed my knowledge in Myofascial Release therapy training with Ruth Duncan.  With a desire to keep on learning and expanding my therapeutic skill base I have started a two year training in Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy, due to graduate in September 2025

Life can be challenging and tough at times, and over the years I have learned that things don't always go back to exactly how they once were, but we can find ease and acceptance which in turn can bring newfound pleasure and joy.  My passion is holding a space to facilitate finding ease with what now is,  which may mean freedom from pain and discomfort, letting go, finding balance and restoration, to lighten and lessen the load.

I began my podcast Lessons From Loss in 2021, the idea emerging out of my morning journalling.  I

co-host both a weekly online free-dance and movement group for women which helps us feel into our bodies; and a local Action for Happiness 10 Keys Group, a monthly online group session exploring a variety of themes around happiness.

When I'm not working I can usually be found outside walking, running, gardening, wild swimming, enjoying nature.  When the weather isn't great I enjoy hunkering in being creative with crafts, reading and healthy baking!
